IT is on the minds of every citizen after the Peshawar incident whether the country is again in the grip of terrorism? Isn’t there an immediate need for implementing the national action plan. When will we feel safe?

I think that state institutions and the establishment should revisit their policies to deal with extremists and militants. The Peshawar attack is an example of psychological warfare that aims to stop the citizens from participating in democracy.

The safety and security of Pakistan are conditioned by its geostrategic and geopolitical position. Pakistan is always on the radar of its neighbours and world powers. There is an urgent need for competent policymakers and diplomats to formulate policies that secure us in the current world order.

Pakistan is threatened by non-state actors who have always tried their level best to destabilise the county. The state should attempt negotiations with them instead of using force as always.
