KARACHI: Talented Eraj Batool cruised past Mariam Mirza while Zoha Asim stunned Hania Naveed in the ladies singles first round matches at the2nd EAM&SEM Memorial National Tennis Championship being played at the Karachi Gymkhana on Thursday.

In the mens singles pre-quarters, Pakistan number one Aqeel Khan outclassed Saqib Hayat in straight sets while Abid Mushtaq beat Shakirullah of KPK easily. In the under-18 competition, Nouman Aftab beat Parbat Kumar in the second round to advance in style.
