Mr Zardari held a meeting with his polling agents at Zardari House after arrival and was briefed on recent political developments in the constituency and the district.

He is expected to hold meetings with notables of Shaheed Benazirabad division and the district to ensure maximum support for him and his party candidates.

According to party sources, Mr Zardari is also expected to address a public gathering in the city in a couple of days.

Mr Zardari, who appears to be in a strong position, will be facing Sardarzada Sher Mohammed Rind, a candidate of Grand Democratic Alliance who is also supported by Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, and Dr Qadir Magsi, chairman of Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party.

Mr Zardaris’ daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari and his elder sister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho were running his election campaign during his absence.
