PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday questioned why his party's candidates are being dragged into courts days before elections but PTI chief Imran Khan is getting relief.

"Our candidate Hanif Abbasi, whose victory in Rawalpindi, is certain, has been called to the court today for the verdict of a case that has been going on for six to seven years. He is being deprived of the precious time he would have rather spent campaigning. Moreover, the verdict itself could completely put him out of the race." — Pervaiz Rashid.

The former information minister also criticised Punjab caretaker CM Hasan Askari for allegedly making electoral predictions in an interview with a foreign publication.
