HYDERABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate for PS-62 Qasimabad seat Mehfooz Ursani on Saturday announced his decision to retire from the contest in favour of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) general secretary Ayaz Latif Palijo.

Thanking the PTI leadership for the gesture, Palijo expressed his confidence that his rival Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate would face a defeat in this contest.

“Corruption and terrorism can be defeated only in one-on-one contest,” he said, adding that after coming to power, GDA would recover billions of rupees looted by corrupt elements in the past.
