QUETTA: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) secretary general Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has hinted at forming the next provincial government and pledged that development would be their top priority.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday along with chief of the Bareach National Alliance, Sardar Sarwar Bareach, he said JUI-F had remained a partner in different coalition governments and also played its due role but never got a chance to lead the government.

He expressed the hope that the JUI-F would form the government this time around, if people gave their mandate.

Maulana Haideri, who had also served as deputy chairman Senate, said that his party would fully implement its election manifesto.

Once in the government, the JUI-F will restore peace and introduce Islamic laws and Sunnah, he said.

Maulana Haideri, who is also deputy secretary general of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA), said that CPEC was an economic opportunity which could not be achieved unless law and order was revamped.

He said that the objective of MMA would be to restore Qazi court system for swift justice, provision of clean drinking water, uninterrupted power supply and a corruption-free province.

Sardar Sarwar Bareach assured Maulana Haideri that his tribesmen would vote for JUI-F candidates across the province.
