LAHORE: The National U-19 Women’s Football Championship will be held at the City School Ground here from Aug 1 to 12.

Apart Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, teams of Islamabad, Fata, Gilgit-Baltistan and Model Town Club (Lahore), Karachi Kickers, Young Rising Stars (Rawalpindi), Abbottabad Warriors, Karachi Club, Stars Club (Mirpur Khas) and Young Rising Stars (Layyah) will compete in the event.

According the schedule, the managers’ meeting and draws ceremony will be held on Tuesday.

The league phase of the event will be completed on Aug 6, while the quarter-finals will be played on Aug 7 and 8. The first semi-final will be staged on Aug 9 and the second on Aug 10.

The third position match is slated for Aug 11 and the final on Aug 12.

The best forty players from this event will be picked by the selectors to finalise the Pakistan squad to participate in the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship being held in November this year.
