TAXILA: Member-elect of the National Assembly and PTI vice president Ghulam Sarwar Khan on Saturday said his only aim was to defeat his archrival Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, adding he did not want any portfolio in the federal cabinet.

Mr Sarwar Khan’s group won two NA and two provincial assembly seats.

Talking to newsmen here, the MNA-elect said he defeated the political heavyweight Chaudhry Nisar five times on the provincial assembly and three times on the NA seat. He said he also spoiled his rival’s game which he had been playing for the last one year by neither joining the PTI nor resigning from his own political party. The MNA-elect said he has now shut the door of the PTI for Mr Nisar.

In reply to a question, he said PTI chief Imran Khan would decide which seat of the National Assembly he would retain. Mr Sarwar has won two NA seats.
