PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Peoples Party has convened a meeting of its ticket holders here on Sunday (today) to collect proofs of rigging, discuss the reasons that led to the party’s crushing defeat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the July 25 general elections and to decide future line of action.

The meeting has been convened on the instructions of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari wherein all the ticket holders for the national and provincial assemblies, district, divisional office-bearers and newly elected lawmakers would be present.

An insider told Dawn that a delegation of the party led by provincial president Engr Mohammad Humayun Khan had recently met Bilawal Bhutto and briefed him about the post-election situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It was learnt that the ticket holders would also bring along the proofs they have about rigging so that next line of action could be taken in this regard.
