Maleeha Lodhi meets Imran at Banigala

Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi met Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman (PTI) Imran Khan at his Banigala residence on Sunday.
The UN representative congratulated the PTI chief on his party's performance in the recent elections.
Apart from Lodhi, the Japanese ambassador, the British envoy and other foreign dignitaries have also visited the PTI chief in recent days.
The envoys of China, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have all called on the PTI chairman since his party emerged as the winner of the July 25 polls.
Earlier, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also telephoned Imran Khan to congratulate him over his party's victory, saying that India was "ready to enter a new era of relations with Pakistan", according to a PTI statement.

Ms. Lodhi should call it a day now. There are capable career diplomats in Pakistan who are trained and can do a better job than her and her likes. Political appointees like Ms. Lodhi destroy institutions.
Mr. Imran Khan, sticking to his promises of a new Pakistan should let institutions like the Foreign Office strengthen. #No to Political Appointees

Please PM, we need some actual intelligent people in our diplomatic sector. So far the entire PMLN-PPP cabinets have been total failures. I'm sorry to say, but Ms. Lodhi wasn't a great success either.

In my view, Maleeha Lodi is a good diplomat, and needs to be more strong on country's foreign policies. This is only possible when a policy is established and correct people are placed in the UN, USA, UK, Russia, China, India and other countries to represent Pakistan's views and policies. I am optimistic, under Imran Khan's leadership, Pakistan's image will be improved for the betterment of the nation!

To replace Maliha Lodhi, a good suggestion would be Mr. Masood Khan, currently President of AJK. He is a very capable diplomat and has decades of experience. Mr. Khan could also make an excellent Foreign Minister.

I assume Ms. Lodhi was not specifically invited but rather she requested to have the meeting. I hope IK selects a good rep to the UN and a good foreign minister. They have to be presentable, impressive, and have a good command of he English language.
