ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Monday ordered a probe into a video made by a Polish tourist in connection with Independence Day celebrations in and around a PIA aircraft.

NAB believes that the Polish tourist had not only disgraced the national flag by wrapping it around her body, but also violated the security code of the airline and the airport.

“We want to know who had allowed the woman to go into an empty aircraft and start dancing at the airport,” a spokesman for NAB told Dawn.

He said that NAB would officially send a letter to the PIA on Aug 15 and seek its management’s point of view on the issue.

“We want to ascertain who had permitted the woman to freely move into a highly secured runway of the airport.”

A video went viral on social media on Monday showing the PIA celebrating Independence Day in a new style.

In the promo, Polish tourist Eva zu Beck performed the popular Kiki Challenge while wearing a dress in the colour of the national flag.

NAB chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal ordered the probe to ascertain who had allowed the woman to enter the plane and the runway.

Later, in a video statment, Eva zu Beck sought apology from people if she might have hurt their sentiments.
