PESHAWAR: Unknown assailants shot dead a woman and injured another one here on Thursday.
An official of Paharipura police station told this correspondent that the women, both about 20 years of age, had not been identified so far.
He said that the incident took place near Pakha Ghulam area when unidentified assailants opened fire on the two women. The official said that one of the injured was being treated at the Lady Reading Hospital and was still unconscious, while the body of other one had been sent to the Khyber Medical College for autopsy. He said that police had registered a case against unknown attackers.
