LAHORE: The cast of upcoming movie, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, held a press meet at a hotel on Egerton Road on Friday for promotion of the movie being released on Eidul Azha.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Humayun Saeed said the film will be released on Eidul Azha but it exclusive premier will be held on Aug 19 in Lahore. He called the film romantic comedy. He lauded actors Ahmed Butt and Suhail Ahmed for their marvelous acting and added that the film, directed by Nadeem Baig, had already created hype among the cinegoers. He said the film had been shot in Turkey and Dubai.

There would be a close competition among three Pakistani movies being released on Eidul Azha, Mr Saeed said but hoped Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 would do a great business at the box office and people would like it as they like Jawani Phir Nahi Ani’s first part.

Mawra Hocane also had similar thoughts about the film.

“It’s an entertaining film and hopefully people will like it.” She said she was jubilant on Imran Khan’s becoming 22nd prime minister of the country and he would lead the country to progress. Same were the views of another actor, Kubra Khan, who believed that film would do a roaring business.

Later, talking to Dawn Humayun Saeed said the government should take some initiatives for easier and convenient filmmaking in the country.

“The land for building up more cinemas should be given on lease, bank loans should be given to filmmakers and films should be pulled out of taxation process,” he suggested.
