Back to the Future cast reunited after 33 years

The cast of Back to the Future, including Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Thomas Wilson, reunited 33 years after the original film arrived in theatres.

The group came together for the Fan Expo in Boston and posed for a photo that was posted onto social media by all four stars.

“Back in 2018, even Biff made it,” Fox said on Instagram, in reference to Wilson’s character Biff Tannen, the antagonist of the series.

Back to the Future stands today as one of the most loved movies of the 1980s. Director Robert Zemeckis had a huge hit on his hands right away, with Back to the Future raking in nearly $400 million worldwide on a budget of less than $20 million, and earning immediate critical raves.

The classic time-travelling film features Fox as Marty McFly who used a time machine build by his friend Dr Emmett Brown (Lloyd) and goes back in time to the year 1955. He encounters a younger version of his mother Lorraine (Thompson) and fought off school bully Biff (Wilson) while helping to ensure that his mother and father meet.

A Back to the Future Day was held in Oct. 2015 to mark the day Marty arrived to the future in Back to the Future Part II.

First glimpse of Disney’s live-action Mulan

The company shared a photo on the Walt Disney Studios official Twitter account of Chinese-American actress Liu Yifei as Mulan. The picture shows Yifei wearing red costume and holding a sword. Disney said production has started on the upcoming movie. The studio previously adapted the story of Mulan as a 1998 animated film.

“Production has begun on Disney’s live-action #Mulan! The film will open in US theatres on March 27, 2020,” the company wrote.

The new Mulan will star Liu, aka Crystal Liu, Donnie Yen, Jet Li and Gong Li. Newcomer Yoson An joined the cast in June as Chen Honghui, a military recruit and love interest for Mulan.

Wonder Woman to voice Shank in Ralph Breaks the Internet

Wonder Woman icon Gal Gadot revealed on Twitter that she is lending her voice to a character in the upcoming sequel to 2012 Wreck-It Ralph.

“I’m so excited to finally announce that I am playing a character named Shank in Disney’s #RalphBreaksTheInternet hitting theaters this November! Such an amazing experience to be a part of this project with such great creators and cast! Welcome to Slaughter Race!” Gadot tweeted.

The post included an image of her animated character, who has a determined look on her face as she drives a street-racing car. She has a tattoo of a dagger on her forearm, long hair and is wearing a leather jacket, fingerless gloves and hoop earrings.

The video game-themed adventure Ralph Breaks the Internet is set for theatrical release November 21. It will also feature the voice talents of John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman.

Isabela Moner as Dora the Explorer in First Movie Image

Isabela Moner is seen as Dora the Explorer in the first-look image from the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series. Production on the film has now officially begun in Australia, under the supervision of Alice through the Looking Glass director James Bobin.

According to the press release sent out by Paramount, filming will take place entirely on Australia’s Gold Coast, in the state of Queensland at Village Road show Studios (the same place where superhero movies like Thor: Ragnarok and this December’s Aquaman were shot). In addition to Moner, the film’s cast includes Micke Moreno (Escobar: Paradise Lost) as Dora’s cousin Diego, Adriana Barraza (The Strain) as Dora’s grandmother Abuelita Valerie, Temuera Morrison (Moana) as Powell, and Mexican movie star Eugenio Derbez (Overboard) as Alejandro, a mysterious jungle inhabitant who tries to protect Dora and her friends.
