HYDERABAD, June 10: Two widows of Hashim Junejo from Chaukhandi village of the Khairpur Nathan Shah taluka, Dadu district, have made an appeal to the Sindh governor and chief minister to help them to get back the possession of their house which has been forcibly occupied by some people of Khairpur Nathan Shah.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Sunday, Hayat Khatoon and Khadija, widows of Hashim Junejo, said that after the death of their husband 11 months back some people of the Junejo clan had forcibly occupied their house.

They said they had no children and had been living in the house for 50 years which was the ancestral property of their husband.

They said they approached the elders of the village and the house was vacated.

However, they said about ten days back the same people, who were not related to their husband, had again occupied the house.

The widows said they were also being threatened with dire consequences if they raised their voice against them.

They appealed to the Sindh governor and chief minister and other authorities to come to their rescue and restore the possession of their house to them.

They said it was a big house and they were still living in one portion of the house while the major portion had been occupied by the miscreants.

They said the accused their tormentors were not related to their husband in any way and therefore, were not entitled to any share in the property.
