LAHORE: Making mockery of the affairs, the dissolved Women Wing of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is still in function as its former secretary Tanzeela Aamir has written a letter to the Sports Board Punjab requesting a coordination in holding a Defence Day exhibition match on Sept 6.

It may be mentioned that according to the International Hockey Federation (FIH) constitution, a separate women wing will not exist in its affiliated member countries and a separate general manager has to be appointed to run the women affairs. The PHF, however, has so far failed to make any such appointment.

Tanzeela’s letter interestingly comes after a similar request made to the SBP by PHF Coordination and Administration director Javed Arshad Khan Manj on Aug 31.
