KARACHI: Major Tufail Shaheed XI beat Lance Naik Mohammad Mehfooz Shaheed XI by 55-29 in the Defence Day match here at the Arambagh courts on Thursday.

In the other match of the day, Major Akram Shaheed XI beat Rashid Minhas Shaheed XI by 64-39.

Talha Amjad was in great form for the Major Tufail Shaheed XI and scored 24 points to take his side to victory. He was well supported by Furquan Ahmed (11 points) and Mohammad Shabbar (10 points).

For the losing side, Hamza Khwaja (10 points), Hasan Iqbal (8 points) and Mohammad Faizan (6 pooints) were the main scorers.

In the second match, Syed Bakhtiar was unstoppable for the winners and scored as many as 34 points while Osama and Abdul Rahim scored ten points each.

For Rashid Minhas Shaeed XI, Abdul Ahad (11 points), Usaid Saeed (9 points) and Faiq Sheikh (8 points) played well.
