MANSEHRA: A married woman and a man were killed allegedly by the husband of the former in the name of honour in Mansehra and Battagram districts on Saturday.

DSP Shinkiari Raja Mehboob told a news conference on Saturday that solving murder of the woman was a challenge for the police and they got involved her younger brother in the case who revealed that his father and grandfather first killed a man in Battagram and later killed his sister in Chitti Gatti area of Mansehra and then escaped.

Mr Mehboob said that suspects lodged an FIR against the husband of the killed woman, but the police foiled their conspiracy. “We have been raiding hideouts to arrest the suspects and soon they would be behind the bars,” the police officer vowed.
