KARACHI: Quetta and Rawalpindi sealed contrasting victories on day two of their respective third-round fixtures of the PCB Inter-region Under-19 three-day tournament on Monday.

Quetta were too tough for Multan to handle as they whipped their hapless Group ‘A’ rivals by an innings and 54 runs here at the UBL Sports Complex with slow left-armer Junaid Khan taking five wickets each in the two innings.

Multan, who resumed their overnight first innings at 8-1, were bowled out for 82 with Junaid claiming 5-35. The spinner then took 5-59 as Multan, following on, mustered 174 all out.

Rawalpindi defeated Faisalabad by four wickets in the Group ‘V’ encounter at the Bohranwali Ground in Faisalabad with left-arm spinner Farhan Shafiq returning match figures of 10 for 70.
