KARACHI: Despite a brilliant 141 from Afaq Ahmed, Abbottabad failed to avert defeat as Fata sealed a 41-run win in their third-round match of the PCB Inter-region Under-19 three-day tournament on Tuesday.

Abbottabad, who were chasing 256, were all out for 214 in their second innings here at the TMC Ground with Afaq playing a superlative 133-ball knock that included 20 fours and three sixes.

Leg-spinner Mohammad picked up a match bag of 11 wickets while inspiring Dera Murad Jamali to a creditable 25-run victory against Karachi Blues at the NBP Sports Complex.

Mohammad followed up his 6-64 in the first innings with five for 82 as Karachi Blues were dismissed for 201.

Karachi Whites trounced Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) by eight wickets at the Mirpur Cricket Stadium, Peshawar annihilated Hyderabad by an innings and 124 runs at the Gohati Cricket Stadium in Swabi, Lahore Blues overwhelmed Islamabad by 137 runs at the National Ground while Lahore Whites edged past Larkana by 18 runs at the Marghazar Cricket Ground.
