KASUR: A 20-year-old youth was gang-raped by three suspects at gunpoint at village Chah Kalalawala Khoh in the limits of the Phoolnagar Police Station on Sunday.

According to the first information report, the suspect along with two other accomplices called the victim, a 20-year-old factory worker, to a drawing room on some pretext and subjected him to gang rape. When the victim put up resistance, the suspects tortured him, inflicting injuries on him. They also made video of it to blackmail the victim’s family in the village.

The Phoolnagar police said they had recovered the video and entered a case against three nominated suspects.

The same police station on Saturday had arrested four suspects from village Kanvainki Malian for allegedly abusing a nine years old boy, making video of the incident and pictures to blackmail his family. Police also claimed to have recovered the video and pictures but not before the suspects had uploaded the video on the internet.

It is pertinent to mention here that despite the arrest of the suspects and recovery of the video by the police, the video was viral on social media. The social circles have criticised the police for not doing enough to remove the video from social media.
