CPNE team meets CM

LAHORE: A delegation of Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) led by its president Mr Arif Nizami called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office here on Wednesday.

During the meeting, various matters including overall situation in the country, political matters and the problems faced by the newspaper industry came under discussion.

The chief minister said steps would be taken for payment of advertisement dues to newspapers. “Problems being faced by the newspaper industry will be solved through consultations.”The CPNE delegation congratulated Sardar Usman Buzdar on assuming the office of the chief minister. Provincial minister for information Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan, Aoun Chaudhary, Akram Chaudhry, information secretary and DGPR were also present on the occasion, says a handout.
