SWABI: Unidentified robbers killed a motorcyclist and took away Rs200,000 cash from him here on Wednesday, said police.

The incident occurred in the jurisdictions of Chota Lahor tehsil police station. Saddam Hussain, a resident of Jalsai who registered an FIR in injured condition, told police that he was on way home at night and when he reached near his house unidentified robbers opened fire on him. As a result, he was seriously injured and the robbers snatched the cash from him and fled.

Mr Saddam was taken to Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Shahmansoor, where he succumbed to his injuries. The police have registered an FIR against unidentified robbers. The local people have demanded arrest of the culprits.

Meanwhile, a man who allegedly tried to give heroin to his imprisoned brother in Swabi judicial lockup was arrested.

Fazal Hayat, a resident of Gandaf village, visited the judicial lockup to meet his brother on Wednesday and during checking the police allegedly recovered heroin from him.
