Quetta water crisis

Published September 20, 2018

THIS is in response to the letter ‘Quetta water crises’ (Sept 7). The writer feels that bringing water from Pat Feeder and Kachi Canal will take decades. This will discourage those who are working on the project.

Our job in ‘new Pakistan’ is to support and help anyone and everyone working to help, Balochistan and Pakistan.

I had floated the idea of a water pipeline along the railway line on both sides. This pipeline route will not have to worry about building bridges on the rivers, canals, nullah and manoeuvring through the rocky mountains. Moreover, it will be the shortest possible route to Quetta.
