The foreign minister is in New York for the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He's no newbie to diplomatic circles, but this week marks Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi's maiden trip to the United States as a representative of the newly elected Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government.
Qureshi is there to attend the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and is also holding meeting with officials on the sidelines.

I hope FM Qureshi would speak a little faster. Every pause between his sentences last an eternity in this fast paced world. No one wants to listen to an hour long speech that should only take 10 minutes.

If the Prime Minister Imran Khan is really keen to engage with Pakistani Americans , he must make very definite and fool-proof non reversible and non U-turnable arrangements to facilitate them. They should be asked to suggest ways and means to get their positive and quickest engagement.

Huh...dude, go back to your Instagram and make sure you post the latest selfie.
Issue with Indians and Pakistanis is that they think speaking fast is the 'key' to come across as 'good in English' and 'intelligent'. Wrong! Half the time it's hard to even understand what 'Desis' are saying when they try to speak fast.
This gentleman has 'got it'. He speaks well. He's articulate, and well-spoken. You could tell he's not just rambling like Benazir or other leaders from a Third World Country.
'No wants to listen to him...', seriously. Talk about yourself...again.

A good and respectable behavior, both by the Foreign Minister and Imran Khan, and the Government seems to be interested in applying sensible rules and regulations. Hope this will change the direction and attitude of Governance in the right direction.

Why was the ariport shut down for 30 minutes so that the Honorable FM can travel 'without protocol'? I have not seen anyone travel to the USA without a brief case or baggage? So who is taking care of those? Is it not against security norms to allow others to handle your baggage?

An excellent FM Pak Shah Mehmood Qureishi, so far so good. An awesome speech at UNGA is imminent. Pak US relations already reset, now a unison fresh start in offing. An audience with President Trump will be in best mutual interests. A meeting with Ma’am Sushma Swaraj will pay dividends to both India & Pakistan. Pakistan new Govt and FM Qureshi, should take immediate action against these high paid diplomatic working in North American and not performing and even some are over age, like Pak diplomatic in Ottawa is 74 yrs old, non-performing, political appointee of PML N, dual citizen Pak-UK, similar other non performing is Maleeha Lodhi since long time, there are no fruitful result with India, USA, Canada, Maleeha is always in every Govt, she did nothing Pakistani diplomacy, she have high salary, Best costly car, costly house, her other expenses, her job should and must be end.

So finally what we thought that our leaders should act like servants of the nation and NOT Mughal Kings. So we got that government. We do hope that this government would be able to protect taxpayer money and will avoid extravagance. Moreover, i believe that they would succeed in bringing the powerful communities under the tax net and would broaden its base and increase the revenue as well as will spend human development.
