COAS says peace to be ensured for socio-economic progress

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that the Pakistan Army will keep doing all which is needed for the provision of secure environment for sustained socio-economic progress.

According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), this he said while addressing the security of Pakistan at a three-day international conference at the Air University titled Radicalisation: Perceptions, Realities and Challenges of Campus Life.

The COAS talked in detail about the security situation and his vision to enduring peace in the country and the region. He said full spectrum of threat demanded comprehensive national response, involving all institutions of state.

Gen Bajwa underscored the country’s resolve and determination to confront global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism and cleanse the country of the menace.
