MULTAN: Participants in the Spelling Bee Competition at the Multan Arts Council auditorium. — Dawn

MULTAN: Multan pool rounds of the 14th DAWN In Education Spelling Bee Competition began on Wednesday at the Multan Arts Council auditorium.

More than 250 students from 36 schools across different cities of south Punjab including Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Fazilpur, Hasilpur, Rajanpur, Khanpur, Liaquatpur, Sadiqabad and Jhang are participating in the two-day Multan Pool Rounds scheduled for Oct 3 and 4.

In age group 9 – 11 winners are Ahmed Majeed, Bloomfield Hall School, (Upper) DG Khan, Huzaifa Arsalan of Lahore Grammer School, senior branch, Multan, and M Hasnain Zahid, Bloomfield Hall School, (Upper) DG Khan.

In age group 12-14, winners are Abdullah Ahsan of Army Public School & College, Noor Mahal Campus senior, Bahawalpur, Muhammad Umer, Bloomfield Hall, Multan Cantt, and M. Mehroz Imran, Army Public School & College, Noor Mahal Campus senior, Bahawalpur.
