KARACHI: City Mayor Wasim Akhtar said on Friday that charged parking system should be made computerised in Karachi like Islamabad and Lahore and receipt containing vehicle number, time of parking and location should be issued to people at the time of parking.

Chairing a meeting on charged parking, he said the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation collected charged parking fee at 28 places in the city. He said 15 new sites for charged parking would be introduced shortly. He said parking fee for car and motorcycle was Rs25 and Rs5 respectively and advised the people to ask for receipts.
