ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has organised wheelchair tennis coaching camp for the first time under the auspices of the Pakistan Tennis Federation with the support of the Sindh Tennis Association (STA) at Union Club in Karachi.

The camp will be held on every weekend (Saturday/Sunday mornings) for the next two months, said a press release issued by the PTF on Monday.

The camp was inaugurated by Sindh Olympic Association (SOA) secretary Ahmed Ali on Oct 5. Khalid Rehmani Special VP Wheelchair Tennis (PTF) is the chief organiser of the event.

The Wheel Chair Tennis Department was established in early 2018 to promote tennis among the physically challenged personnel.

The said camp has been organised to improve the standard of wheelchair tennis for which wheelchairs were specially imported as a first step.

Meanwhile, PTF president Salim Saifullah Khan during his visit to Karachi was briefed by Rehmani about the wheelchair tennis camp and related matters in this regard.
