Tourism in Chitral

Published October 11, 2018

CHITRAL valley is the largest district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, covering an area of 14,850 km². There are famous valleys and places in Chitral which attract tourists like Kalash valley, Garam Chashma valley, Booni, Golen valley, Shandur pass, Shai Qila, Bamburat and the list goes on.

Chitral has steep mountains, lush green valleys, beautiful meadows and large glaciers. This makes it one of the most beautiful areas of the world.

But the visitors face serious problems like inadequate infrastructure, hotels and other facilities. Prime Minister Imran Khan says Pakistan has huge tourism potential and he will promote tourism to strengthen the economy.

Therefore, the government should focus on tourism in Chitral and provide facilities to the tourists.
