HARIPUR: A girls college’s student was allegedly kidnapped here on Wednesday.

Syed Sajid Ali Shah of Kangra Colony told the police that his daughter, an intermediate course student, went to the Government Girls Degree College No II but didn’t return.

He said the family failed to trace the girl despite an intensive search.

The complainant alleged that local resident Sohail Hussain had kidnapped his daughter.

The police registered a criminal case against the suspect on the complaint of the girl’s father and began search for him and the girl.

However, they didn’t learn about their whereabouts until Thursday night and found their cellphone numbers switched off.
