ISLAMABAD: All is set for the by-election in NA-53 Islamabad on Sunday.

There are 313,141 registered voters in the area, officials said.

As many as 315 polling stations have been established – 144 each for male and female voters and 27 combined polling stations.

The seat was vacated by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Out of the 315 polling stations, six have been declared highly sensitive and 30 sensitive.

Four of the highly sensitive stations are in the limits of Kohsar police, and two in the Industrial Area police limits.

Out of the 30 sensitive polling stations, 12 are in the limits of Aabpara police, five in Secretariat police, four in Banigala, three in Bhara Kahu and two each in Kohsar, Karachi Company and Industrial Area police.

Sixty-one polling stations have been established in Aabpara and Karachi Company each, 53 in Bhara Kahu, 36 in Industrial Area, 34 in Kohsar, 27 in Secretariat and Khanna each, 10 in Banigala and six in Shahzad Town.

Four SPs, six subdivisional police officers and 13 inspectors will be supervising security duties on the occasion.

Forty-nine officials have been deployed at the control room while teams, comprising 43 officials each, would be deployed at the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) office in two shifts.
