The contenders for the seat are:

  • Ali Nawaz Awan (PTI)
  • Waqar Ahmed (PML-N)
  • Khan Iftikhar Shahzada (PPP)
  • Abdul Hafeez (TLP)
  • Nasir Mehmood (Pakistan Awami League)
  • Sajid Abbasi (Ind)
  • Syed Amjad Ali Shah (Ind)
  • Muhammad Zubair (Ind)
  • Muhammad Sarwar Khan Abbasi (Ind)
  • Nasir Munir Ahmed (Ind)
  • Nafees Ahmed Murad (Ind)

There are 313,141 registered voters in NA-53 and 315 polling stations ─ 144 each for male and female voters, and 27 combined polling stations.

Six polling stations have been declared 'highly sensitive', and 30 'sensitive'.

Four SPs, six subdivisional police officers and 13 inspectors are supervising security duties.
