ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Communist Party of China on Monday called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The delegation included Chinese Minister Song Tao and other dignitaries.

PPP leaders Sherry Rehman, Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Farhatullah Babar and Faisal Karim Kundi were also present on the occasion,.

Matters of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.

Earlier on Sunday, the delegation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) that aimed at strengthening party to party relations.

Both parties also agreed to exchange high level delegations to further understand each other and bring the two nations closer.

The Chinese delegation also met leaders of the main opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The members of the two parties agreed to enhance exchanges at political, parliamentary and social levels between the two countries.

The PML-N leaders who attended the meeting included Ahsan Iqbal, Nuzhat Sadiq, Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Murtaza Javed Abbasi.
