NAB issues arrest warrants for ex-minister Jam Khan Shoro for alleged corruption

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has issued arrest warrants for former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Jam Khan Shoro for his alleged involvement in corruption, DawnNewsTV reported on Thursday.
A team has been dispatched to arrest Shoro, a press release issued by the anti-corruption watchdog said.
Shoro, is facing allegations of illegally allotting 19 plots of the Karachi Development Authority that were worth Rs1 billion.
A NAB official who wished to remain anonymous confirmed that the warrants had been issued and added that the bureau had enough evidence against the former minister to take him into custody and begin cross-examining him. According to the official, Shoro could be arrested any time today.
Soon after NAB issued his arrest warrants, Shoro approached the Sindh High Court for pre-arrest bail. The request was accepted and he was granted protective bail till Nov 8 against surety bonds worth Rs1 million.

Why not all the MPAs including Ministers, whose tenure is finished, are made bound to get clearance from NAB before contesting the elections for second time? This will save lot of hassle and money since most of the MPAs/MNAs get involved in corruption cases, while being in government.

It is very surprising that NAB is not actively working in Sindh, on the other hand NAB in action in Punjab, and giving hard time to PML-N senior people. In Sindh, unfortunately each and every ministry is fully and full time involve in corruption. Corruption is their MOTO. No ministry in Sindh is functioning even their 5% efficiency level. They change Sindh in to HELL. I think it is much better to impose Governor Raj in Sindh.

Now all he has to do is apply for a permission to travel abroad for Medical Treatment and flee the country. We have all seen this movie before. The courts in Paksitan keep buying these lame excuses from the ultra-corrupt and criminals to escape justice and enjoy the loot abroad. So punishment, no fines, no recovery. Case closed.

One fail to understand a case involving 1 billion a culprit is required to produce bail of 1 million. In Pakistan people spend tens of millions of rupees to become a MPA or MNA or councilor not for salary but to make hundreds of time more through corruption. In other words not to serve the nation or masses but to accumulate wealth.

Former Sindh MPA Jam Khan Shoro was involved in massive corruption and money laundering to Dubai and UK. He is just the tip of shocking corruption in every Sindh government department which must be fully investigated by NAB and FIA. The people of Sindh and Pakistan "demand" accountability of all those who have looted and plundered the country. They are criminals. No former or present politician can be above the law.

Corruption in Pakistan, particularly by politicians, is taking an ugly turn.Shahbaz wants a parliamentary committee to probe allegations against him and thus parliament to assume a role not provided in Constitution. The Sind CM says corruption is a state subject and Federal agencies like NAB and FIA should not meddle in what is State ‘s jurisdiction. The State Govt could thus dispute what the Centre may deem corruption. This might lead to a Constitutional crisis!
