LAHORE: Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams on Sunday sealed two breakfast points and imposed fine on nine others for selling unhygienic food.

A team led by the Director General (DG) Muhammad Usman inspected breakfast points in various areas of the city, including Anarkali, Lakshmi Chowk and the Walled City, and checked the quality of food there. The team sealed Butt Sweets as construction work was going on in its production unit. They also sealed Shahi Murgh Channay for not complying with previous warnings and instructions.

PFA teams also fined Butt Sweets, Tooba Restaurant, Munna Daal Channay, Al Ghani and Noorullah Bong Paaye at Lakshmi Chowk as well as Goga Naqeebia, Taya Lodhi, Karachi Nashta and Yasir Nashta Point in Anarkali.

The DG said that only those restaurants and food points were sealed that did not abide by rules and previous warnings. All breakfast points were checked on a weekly basis.
