TOBA TEK SINGH: A minor girl died in a fire in her kitchen on Monday in Gojra.
The Gojra city police said seven-year-old Muaafia, daughter of Munir, of New Plots locality, went to the kitchen and tried to light the oven but due to gas leakage, her clothes caught fire.
When she cried, her mother rushed to the kitchen. In the meantime, she had suffered severe burns. She was rushed to the Gojra Tehsil Headquarters Hospital to be referred to the Faisalabad Allied Hospital where she succumbed to her burn wounds.
Also, the house of Fazil was burnt when a fire suddenly broke out in his house on Monday in Kamalia’s Fatehpur locality.
The fire burnt valuables of the house worth more than Rs1 million.
