Outlaws on the loose in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA, Jan 10: Outlaws on Thursday looted two houses, a poultry farm and a general store and also injured its owner on resistance in four strikes in and around the city.

Three dacoits stormed into the house of Chaudhry Yousaf in Kamoke and held up the inmates at pistol point. After locking them in a room, they gathered cash, ornaments and valuables worth Rs0.7 million and fled.

Five dacoits entered Yaqoob’s house by scaling its boundary wall in Popular Nursery, Satellite Town. Armed outlaws held the inmates hostage, collected cash and jewellery worth Rs0.5 million and escaped.

Three armed bandits burst into a poultry farm on the Pir Kot Road in Ghakkhar town. They held hostage Khurram Butt at gunpoint, snatched from him Rs160,000 in cash and escaped.

Meanwhile, two robbers entered a general store in Sarfraz Colony and snatched Rs100,000 from its owner, Mursaleen Khan.

They attacked him with knives for putting up resistance. He sustained injuries and was shifted to Mayo Hospital, Lahore, for his serious condition.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.
