Judges told not to display green number plate

MULTAN: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Muhammad Anwarul Haq directed judges of the district judiciary not to display the green number plate on their private vehicles.

A notification in this regard was issued on Friday by Directorate of Judiciary Director General Bushra Zaman that stated that the chief justice has directed the judges of the district judiciary to quit the practice of displaying green number plates on their private vehicles.

“Non-compliance thereof may follow administrative consequences accordingly. You are therefore, required to ensure compliance of above directions by all members of the district judiciary in letter and spirit,” the letter concluded.
