KARACHI: Chaudhry Rehmat Ali XI defeated Sardar Abdul Rab Nishter XI 71-43 to reach the semi- finals of the SSB Trophy Quaid-e-Millat Basketball tournament here at Arambagh court on Friday.

Tamur Zaheer (18 points), Tahir Naqash (18 points), Uzair (13 points) and Maj Muhammad Imran (8 points) were the leading scorers for the winners. For Sardar Abdul Rab Nishter XI, the scorers were Israr Shah and Muzammil Hussain who scored (15 points) each while Hassan Ali scored 7 points.

Earlier, players of both the teams were introduced to chief guest Ahmer Shafiq, Director Parks and Services of DMC South.

Both the semi-finals will be played today while the final will be staged on Oct 29.

Meanwhile, Hashmatullah Lodhi Inter-School Boys & Girls Basketball reached the final stage after three more teams qualified for the finals of O and A Levels categories here on Friday.

In O’ Levels category, Habib Public School qualified for the final by beating Army Public School 42-23 in the semi final match. Brilliant Behram Khan (22 points) and Ebad Hussain (10 Points) were the leading scorers for the winners.

For Army Public, the scorers were Faheem Khan (11 points, Danish Hussain and Haris Khan (7 points) and (3 points), respectively.

In the A Level category, Nixor College beat their opponents Bahria College Karsaz 41-28 in the first semi-final.

Waleed Ahmed (17 points), Zuhaib Khan (10 points) and Raaif (8 points)were the leading scorers for the winners while for Bahria college Karsaz Hamaad scored (12 points) Aun Muhammad scored (10 points) and Zunair(4 points).

In the second semi-final of A Levels categoy, Bahria Nore-1 beat Alpha College 39-27.

Abdul Rehman (10 points), Zainullah (9 points) and Saleel Khan (9 points) were leading scorers for the winners. For Alpha College Raheem scored 17 points and Areeb 14.
