Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Monday said that he would be returning to work tomorrow, just two days after undergoing an angioplasty.
He made this comment while leaving the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology where he was admitted yesterday for the procedure.
The chief justice had gone to the hospital for a routine checkup when doctors suggested that he should undergo an angioplasty. Two balloon stents were inserted in Justice Nisar's heart during the procedure.
Following the surgery, the chief justice was shifted to a room where his family was allowed to meet him. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa had also visited Justice Nisar at the hospital.
The hospital officials said that the chief justice has been advised to rest for at least four days.

WOW , in just 7 years since I had my Angioplasty ( 2 stunts placed inside my ailing heart in a Dubai Hospital ) , The Remarkable Recovery Timeframe , Has Been achieved . I was given 2 weeks medical leave to recover before going to my work place . Hon CJP got just 48 hours to recover and resume his tiring work at the SCP , WOW This Medical leap frog in Recover timeframe is Mind boggling ( at least to me )

Quite a man to leave hospital in just 24 hours despite angioplasty and two stenting. Musharraf on other hand on the premise that he may require stenting went out of country and is yet to return after treatment despite lapse of years.

Dear C.J please take some time off. There is no reason to rush back. You have had a successful angiplasty but you have gone through a invasive procedure you feel clinical well but the psychological reaction comes later. You need time to adept to changed realities l.e medications, less stress and cardiac rehabilitation . We need a fully fit C.J. Perhaps your hectic life style was to blame for your coronary artey disease. Good luck.

Shame and utter shame on all those who go overseas for common sickness at government expense whereas honorable CJP went to our facility saving our huge money. Secondly today he quits hospital and tomorrow itself he is back on the job itself excels him over all of us. It's appreciated that CJP has preferred RIC for heart treatment.Hopely all others wd. follow him.The RIC is the state of the art hospital.When one visit the hospital, finds it not less than the western hospital.The previous govt deserves applaud for construction of such modern health care institute.The present govt shd keep an eye n maintain its standard.Hopefully CJP may also monitor its upkeep.Another hospital on the same pattern is required exclusively for cancer to cater to the needs of people of northern areas.
