Hassan Ali and Saood Mir win gold medals

ISLAMABAD: After showing brilliant performance in U-17 events, Gilgit Baltistan’s Hassan Ali and Saood Mir won gold medals for their team Waziristan Azmiri in the ongoing National Taekwondo Championship here at the Pakistan Sports Complex’s indoor hall on Wednesday.

Hassan Ali won gold in U-45 kg contest while Saood Mir clinched gold in U-63 kg event.

Their team won Khyrougi/Poomsae Competitions U-17 with a total of seven medals (three gold, two silver and two bronze). While Army won Senior Poomsae events by winning 15 gold medals and one bronze medal followed by Wapda, whose athletes won five silver and eight bronze while HEC clinched third position with four silver and six bronze in the event.
