The biggest concern of parents is that they don’t want their kids to learn English ‘slangs’ through comics, and understandably so. However, they can’t stop kids from learning about their favourite superheroes in the age of the internet.
Marvel Comics solves that issue by releasing an easy-to-read book series featuring the earth’s mightiest heroes and their battles with super villains who threaten peace in the galaxy.
In the first book of this Level 2 series, Avengers Battle with Ultron, Iron Man must find a way to rescue the original Avengers who have been taken captive by Ultron, the supervillain. On his return to Earth, he finds out that The Incredible Hulk, Mighty Thor and Captain America are missing in action.
On finding out that Ultron is behind the matter, he goes on to find a new team of Superheroes that can help him rescue his friends. He calls up Black Widow, Hawkeye, Falcon, Vision, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch and while some agreed instantly, others were reluctant in helping Iron Man.
Do they manage to save the original Avengers or does Ultron get the best of them, this book will tell you all. Furthermore, you get to know about each and every new recruit in Iron Man’s team, something you won’t find in cartoons and films where there is little time for introductions. To make it an easy read, the sentences are short and the fonts are bigger, making it ideal for a youngster to understand. The illustrations are top-notch as well, making visualisations for kids easy and lessening the burden on the parents’ mind since they know what their kids are reading is neither graphic nor adult literature.
So what do you get to learn from the first book in the series? Well, that helping a friend is always fun and better way to make new friends. The Avengers made new members through this adventure in which they saved their already existing members through teamwork, teaching us a simple message — if we try to help people around us, who knows we might end up making new friends as well.
