SWABI: Three people were killed in separate incidents here on Saturday, said police.

A man named Ajmid Khan of Gabai village of Gadoon Amazai mountainous belt was hit by a speeding motorcycle near Bachai village while he was crossing the road.

He was seriously injured and taken to Lady Ready Hospital in Peshawar where he succumbed to injuries.

Attaullah of Yaqubi village got registered an FIR in Yar Hussain police station stating that Jalal Khan and Sirzamin opened fire on his brothers, Sabaz Ali and Sabir Ali.

He said the former survived the attack but the latter was killed on the spot. The two assailants escaped the area. He told police that the cause of the incident was an old enmity.

Similarly, Kamran Bacha of Shelkhi Banda registered an FIR in Swabi police station, reporting that his brother, Behram Khan was shot dead by Aqil Khan, Meena Khan, Jehangir Khan and Wali Khan while he was going to market.

The murderers revenged the killing of one of their relatives by the victim’s family.

JACKAL BITES PEOPLE: A mad jackal bit five people in the Right Bank Colony of Tarbela Dam on Saturday before being killed by the locals.

Shamas-ur-Rehman, a security personnel, told Dawn that a mad jackal bit his son, Ishtiaq Ahmd when he stepped out of his house.

He was bitten on the face and was taken to Wadpa hospital, but the doctors referred him to the CMH, Rawalpindi, he said, adding four more people had been bitten by the mad jackal in his neighbourhood.

He said the area people later killed the jackal.

Locals feared that if the mad jackal had bitten other jackals inhabiting the Tarbela Dam forest more such attacks could not be ruled out in future.
