Teachers build nations

It is regarding the article “Teachers build nations” by M. Arif Iftikhar (YW, October 6). The article discussed the importance of a teacher in a student’s life. When we are young we might not realise it, but whatever teachers do is for our betterment. They are the ones who do their best to make us successful.

My advice to all is that love and respect your teachers. You cannot pay them back for all that they do, but a simple “Thank you” can make their day and they deserve it.

An encounter with a witch

This is with reference to the story “An encounter with a witch” written by Hanaa Faisal (YW, October 20). The writer used excellent vocabulary and expressions which made this story very interesting and fascinating for the readers.

I feel having a good vocabulary and a way in which a reader feels motivated and impressed with your story or creative writing is the best achievement for a writer. Hoping to read more wonderful stories soon.

Why so judgemental?

Yesterday one of my friends was depressed because people passed rude comments on her lifestyle. Today, I want to talk about that problem. We live in a century where people judge everyone, from the beggar in the street to a co-worker, without even knowing them and their sufferings. A day without judging feels like they have missed an important chore.

At that time, I consoled her with these words, “You are not a perfect but a beautiful soul. You cannot make everyone happy and satisfied, and not everyone matters. The only person you should love and care about is yourself. You are unique so do not let others make you feel inferior. You have a right to live your life on your own terms and choices. Everyone is different. No two people are completely alike. We need to accept these differences and stop judging people.”

I want to mention a beautiful quote by Earl Nightingale: “When you judge others, you do not define them you define yourself.”

Don’t act cool, be cool

This is with reference to the article “Don’t act cool, be cool!” by Saira Owais Adil. Playing games not only makes you cool, but updated too. It makes your personality attractive.

One has to know about current affairs too. She rightly expressed the need to value time and so utilise it in productive things. Also, your body talks before you talk, so keep your body tidy in order to become cool.
