PESHAWAR: PML-N provincial secretary information Ikhtiar Wali Khan has described Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Peshawar visit as a complete failure, saying he did not announce any plan for mitigating the miseries of common people who have been facing poverty, joblessness and shortage of health care services.

Talking to mediapersons here on Saturday, he said that during his visit the prime minister just appreciated his ministers who failed to prove their capability during the first 100 days. He alleged that Imran Khan had been using derogatory language against his political opponents as if he was still sitting on the container, but he was unable to take any step for bringing change in the fate of people.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader said that Imran Khan had failed to fulfil his commitment with the relatives of APS martyrs and focused his attention only on appreciation of the provincial ministers and inaugurating a shelter home.

He said that the prime minister was duty-bound to announce a package for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on completion of his 100 days governance. He also referred to the pathetic condition of hospitals and educational institutions, especially in tribal districts, and said that the government should resolve people’s problems otherwise the public would come on to the streets.

Ikhtiar Wali said that the Governor House and Chief Minister House were still waiting to be converted into libraries as promised by the PTI leadership.

He claimed that PTI would be unable to win any election in future if it failed to construct new hospitals, schools and hydel power stations in the province. He added that the PTI leaders were facing charges of corruption, especially in Malam Jabba land scam and the billion tree tsunami project, but none of them was arrested so far, while the focus of National Accountability Bureau was on the leaders of opposition parties.
