SIALKOT: Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved Air Sial flight operations from 2019.

A delegation of Air Sial, led by its chairman Fazal Jillani, called on the prime minister in Islamabad on Friday.

Federal Minister for Privatisation and Aviation Muhammad Mian Soomro and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar were also present on the occasion.

Air Sial is established by the exporters under the supervision of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “The decision to start flight services is a welcome step. Sialkot is becoming an important hub for investment and the government will provide further facilities,” the prime minister said.

“The government is taking comprehensive measures for the business community. The start of the airline will increase business activities and employment in Sialkot region,” he added.
