KHAIRPUR, June 27: Eighteen growers were booked by the Faiz Ganj police for water theft on Sunday night. Mohammad Hassan Shar, Darogha of the irrigation Faiz Ganj sub-division, has registered a case against 18 growers alleging that they were stealing water by breaking water course of the Ali Nawaz Canal and the Bhango Minor.

. MIRPURKHAS: Ten growers of the Sanhro distributary were booked for water theft on Sunday night.

On the complaints of landlords, a team of Rangers and irrigation officials conducted raid at the Sanhro distributary fed by the Jamrao Canal and found 10 growers involved in water theft by tempering with water courses.

A case has been lodged with the taluka police against Qaim Khan Malkani, Rahim Bux Malkani, Abdul Rehman Malkani, Dodo Khan Rajar, Chaudhry Mansha, Ramzan Arain, Ashiq Ali Shah, Chaudhry Ramzan, Chaudhry Farhan and Manu Kolhi.

SUICIDE: A man committed suicide by shooting himself in Johar Colony here on Monday.

Mehboob Alam, 30, shot himself in his house as a result he died instantly. His body was brought to the civil hospital for autopsy. Motive behind the suicide could not be ascertained.
