ABBOTTABAD: Four members of a tourist family from Lahore were killed while four others injured when a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep ditch near Harno here on Friday evening.

The family was on its way back from Nthiagali to Abbottabad late in the evening.

According to the police, the car in which the family was travelling veered off the road at a curve in Kali Mati and fell into the ditch. As a result, Kosar Naaz, wife of Saleem Iltaf, Saira Bibi, wife of Hayat, Narma, daughter of Hayat, and Saad Ahmed, son of Saleem Iltaf, were killed. The injured included Saleem Iltaf, Anaya, daughter of Hayat, Saleh, daughter of Saleem Iltaf and driver Abdul Qadeer.

The bodies were shifted to the district headquarters hospital, Abbottabad, while injured were shifted by the police to the Ayub Teaching Hospital Complex where condition of one of them was stated to be critical.
