ISLAMABAD: The Jubilee Insurance U-16 Junior Snooker Championship starts here at the Pakistan Sports Board snooker hall on Saturday.

Twelve players -- including six from Punjab, four from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one each form Sindh and Islamabad -- will participate in the event which concludes on Jan 8.

After this championship, the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Federation (PBSF) has lined up several other tournaments at the same venue.

An U-18 event will be played from Jan 10 to 16, followed by an U-21 competition from 17 Jan to 22. Then a master plus-40 contest will be organised from Jan 24 to 27

According to PBSF official Naveed Kapadia, top-ranked players of their respective category will be seen in action at the aforementioned events.
